Contract Template Library

Ready-made contract types you can import into your Deep Space workspace and make your own. Each one is a Contract Template and its Word master, packaged as a single file, so a new contract form needs no code change and no waiting on us.

1Templates in the library

Each template comes with three downloads. Import the .dsct package into your workspace; the Word master and the example PDF are there to read before you import.

Sample Construction Subcontract

Version 1 Subcontract

A complete subcontract: Agreement, Special Conditions, Subcontract Particulars, General Conditions and six Schedules, with the Word master and Contract Template already set up. It is the quickest way to start your own contract type: import it, then change the wording, fields and parts to suit you.

What this template shows you how to do
  • Fill values from Deep Space: the subcontract record, your company, the Company Directory, the head contract, the project and its team roles, the program and computed values.
  • Optional parts the user ticks (Special Conditions, Schedules 3 and 5), and parts that follow a field (Schedule 6 follows "Statutory Declaration required with claims").
  • Parts that print "Not applicable", and alternatives chosen from a dropdown (practical completion as a date or as a number of days).
  • Checkboxes, lists, table rows and a block repeated for each row, with typed columns (date, currency, number, yes/no).
  • Amendments printed into the Special Conditions.
  • The construction program PDF placed straight after Schedule 3.
  • Two signature places, with the subcontractor signing first.
  • A real Word table of contents, multilevel numbering, named styles and footer values.

2How to import a template

  1. Download the .dsct package
    Use the .dsct link on the template above.
  2. Import it
    Go to Admin → Contract Templates, click Import and choose the package. It creates the contract type and its Word master as Drafts.
  3. Read the report, then publish
    On Validate & publish, choose the Draft master (v1), click Validate, then publish with Word master v1. The Contract Template and its master are published together.
  4. Try it on a subcontract
    Create a subcontract and choose the new contract type as the first field. Look through the Contract details tab and the preview.
  5. Make it yours
    Change the wording in the Word master, and the fields and parts in the Contract Template. Add your logo to the master's header in Word.
Importing is safe

An import only adds a new contract type and master as Drafts. It changes nothing that's already in your workspace.

We add contract types to this library as they are built and tested. Every template here has been built in a sandbox workspace, tested on a real subcontract, and packaged for import, so it works the same way in your workspace.
